Traces: Schuylkill River is a dance work inspired by stream dynamics and the Schuylkill River’s  morphology. A visual art work is created through the process of performance by capturing the movement pathways of dancing on the ground in various media. Performed three times in one day, each dance generated drawings in graphite, charcoal, and pastels. Traces: Schuylkill River was presented as part of Invisible River’s Schuylkill River Arts Day, joining a selection of Philadelphia performers who used movement to understand waterways.
