CURATORIAL

Catanese curated and organized over two dozen contemporary art exhibitions exploring nature and environmental topics for the Schuylkill Center for Environmental Education’s environmental art program. Indoor gallery shows and temporary outdoor exhibitions spanned a range of subject matter, from water, climate change, moss and fungi, and biodiversity.  Catanese also has facilitated longer-term artist-led landscape interventions that seek to prevent or remediate environmental damage through the LandLab residency. She served as senior advisor to Lenapehoking~Watershed, a multistate, community-driven exploration of the Delaware River watershed through two artist projects (Water Spirit by Sarah Kavage and Aqua Marooned! by Adrienne Mackey).
